UDINE - A satisfied Dejan Stankovic spoke on Inter Channel after Sunday’s 1-0 win at Udinese.
He said: "We played at a very difficult ground this evening against a team that is well organised tactically. They always look to get forward and they have men who do well in attack. But we work well and our work pays off.
"This is a very important victory, not just in terms of the points but also on a psychological level. We know how hard it is to come back from national team duty and the trips, but the team’s character, courage and determination comes through when we’re in clear difficulty."

MILAN - A satisfied Dejan Stankovic commented on his team’s performance against Fiorentina in a post-match interview with Inter Channel.
"We worked very hard today," said the Serbian midfielder. "Neither of the two teams wanted to risk and this is why they preferred long balls and a physical game.
"It was as hard a victory as it was important tonight. Compliments to Ibra for the first goal. He risked a lot and with him, also Sebastien Frey. It went well."
Stankovic spoke words of praise for his opponent Stevan Jovetic, the Montenegrin midfielder who added a creative dimension to Fiorentina’s game after coming on for Kuzmanovic.
"He’s a good player, he has good characteristics and, above all, he’s young," said Dejan. "Let’s give him time to get used to Italy, on and off the pitch. The Fiorentina management did well to invest in a player like him."

APPIANO GENTILE - Dejan Stankovic spoke on Inter Channel after the midweek Champions League match against Manchester United.
"It’s a pity, a real pity because their first goal didn’t take our legs away, although it came too soon," said the Serbian midfielder. "Everyone was expecting Inter to do nothing but we still played a good game and created chances, and with a bit of luck we could have equalised.
"It still would have been a difficult match if we had scored in the first half but we didn’t give up when we let in the second goal in the fourth minute of the second half. We had many more chances, especially with the post Adriano hit, and there were still 28 minutes to go and anything could have happened. I’m very disappointed about the elimination but we faced a very strong opponent and we made it hard for them.
"We go out with our heads held high but unfortunately we are out of the Champions League. We have to recover immediately because we have two and a half months of fireworks. We mustn’t throw away the championship. The Champions League is over now, but we can learn from this match, take the positives from it and continue on our path. Now we have the league clash against Fiorentina and there are some decisive matches after the international break."

MILAN - Dejan Stankovic spoke on Inter Channel after Sunday’s 3-3 draw with Roma.
"It was a very strange match, we paid for the tension accumulated in the Champions League match against Manchester, for which we were really fired up," said the Serbian midfielder. "This is the only reason for our lapse this evening. But I thought we saw a great Inter in the second half, a team that gave a great reaction.
"During the interval we told ourselves that we had to show we are a great team. We looked each other in the eyes and took off.
"It was very important for us to come back and with a bit of hidden strength the match might even have ended 4-3, but we’re happy with this result. We couldn’t have asked for more."

"It was a great joy," said the Serbian midfielder, who completed the scoring with his fourth of the season. "These matches are like mini finals and this is how me and my team-mates approached tonight’s match. It’s a heated atmosphere in Lecce but we played an almost perfect match without any big problems. I’m very pleased with the team’s performance. We’re a great group, we just have to keep winning.
"We played a great match in Catania, we showed our pride against Torino, and we combined both of those performances today in Lecce. There was everything on the pitch at the Via del Mare today."
