UDINE – Against Udinese at the Stadio Friuli, Maxwell started a match in his customary left-back position for the first time in over two months.
"I’m very pleased to be a starter again," he said. "It’s always hard to be in form after a long time but I’m happy with my contribution.
"It was an important victory. Udinese play very quickly, they play at a high tempo and have great quality in attack. We tried to mark them but it was very hard.
"In the second half we kept the ball more and obtained an advantage that allows us to be a bit calmer."
