APPIANO GENTILE - Italian champions Inter were back training today after a two-day break. The Nerazzurri, who will celebrate the club’s 17th Scudetto with the fans at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after this Sunday’s match against Atalanta, began their preparations for the last match of the Serie A season with an afternoon session.
After warming up with some keep-away drills and football-tennis matches, José Mourinho’s players continued the week’s first session with a series of training games. Maicon trained with the squad for first time today since his injury during Brazil’s match against Ecuador at the end of March.
The Brazilian full-back concluded today’s session on the pitch with an extra aerobic workout with Julio Ricardo Cruz and all the Nerazzurri who were back to base after a period of leave (Luis Figo, Julio Cesar, Sulley Muntari and Dejan Stankovic). Hernan Crespo, who sustained an injury away to Chievo-Inter on 10 May, also trained with the squad today.
Francesco Bolzoni, Maxwell and Nelson Rivas are on leave, while Victor Obinna is away with the Nigerian national team ahead of next week’s international matches.
